Few days ago, we learned that Microsoft is readying (General Distribution Release 3) updgrade for Windows Phone 8 which will add support for 1080p screens and Quad core (or more) processors. Now, Mary Jo Foley from ZDNet revealed some interesting facts for this upgrade. According to her sources, Microsoft is also going to add an extra third column for the live tiles on the homescreen, where the user will be able to add another row of mini sized tiles, just like how it’s shown in the image above.
This is a very good news. Users would be able to have their important apps right on the homescreen, just a tap away. It’s a nice idea to utilise the screen space and offer more to the users. The tiles would look big enough to be seen/read clearly on the devices with bigger displays and resolutions.
