We’ve been hearing from quite a while now that Nokia will bring the 808 PureView like 41MP Camera sensor to their Lumia range in 2013. We thought that the previous info leak about this was just a rumour, but today it seems that Nokia are really going debut that monster 41 MP camera sensor to their Lumia line as Guardian has confirmed this in their post.
They says that Nokia will name this phone ‘Nokia EOS’, the same that we heard earlier. However, Nokia, when asked, declined to confirm this saying:
“While we are delighted with the attention the Nokia Lumia range continues to gather, it has been our long-held policy not to comment on market rumours or speculation.”
Lets see if this comes out true this time. MWC is very near now and we can expect more such news as it gets closer. I’d really like to see this Nokia EOS to announce in this MWC, without any limitations, as they did with Lumia 920 (8 mp with no Xenon flash eh?) to be called a Real PureView Pro Camera smartphone, after 808 ofcourse. And what about a whole new camera UI, different from the camera UIs of other OEMs (too much maybe lol).
