Introducing the new Nokia Lumia Family

As we all know that its being only 6 months when Nokia signed a deal with Microsoft for using Microsoft’s WP7 OS as their new OS for the smartphones and today after the announcement of the Series 40 based Nokia’s new “Asha Series”, the CEO of Nokia, Stephen Elop today introduced and announced their new and very first Windows Phone based smartphone range- The Nokia Lumia.

The new Nokia Lumia Series contains two power packed smartphones- The Nokia Lumia 800 and the Nokia Lumia 710.

1) The Nokia Lumia 800:-

Today at Nokia World Event in London, Nokia announces the Nokia Lumia 800, its first smartphone in the new Lumia range and also the first Nokia smartphone to run on a Windows Phone operating system.
When you first look at the Lumia 800, you’ll say that, ‘its totally looks like the Nokia N9’. Yes, the Lumia 800 has a single piece body, very similar to that of the Nokia N9. But obviously it is not the Nokia N9.

Running on a very new Windows Phone Mango (WP7.5) operating system, the Nokia Lumia 800 got to have that type of hardware specs which can run this OS smoothly and leaves you with a WOW effect everytime you works on it.

So, lets take a look at some important specs of the Nokia Lumia 800:-

Update:- I am observing that most of the visits to this post are related to the Nokia Lumia 800’s price here in India. Well guys, the price of Lumia 800 is not clear enough that i can tell you but according to Nokia India, the Lumia 800 is now available for Pre-order booking at the price of around Rs. 29,999. *One more thing i want to tell you guys if you are going to book the Lumia 800 than please check its availability on some sites like Flipkart, Letsbuy, etc because i’d heard from somewhere that they are giving Lumia 800 at some low price. I am not sure about it but i want you to please check them and confirm before buying it.

2) The Nokia Lumia 710:-

And after the announcement of the Nokia Lumia 800 and getting a huge applaud from the audience at Nokia World, the CEO Stephen Elop then announced the second smartphone in their Lumia lineup- The Nokia Lumia 710. The Nokia Lumia 710 is the entry level smartphone running the windows phone 7.5 mango OS. It will be available in the end of this year at 270 euros and is cheap as compared to its counterpart. But having a fast 1.4 Ghz processor, hardware acceleration and graphics processor as the Nokia Lumia 800, the Lumia 710 offers exceptional performance at this price point.
