Microsoft Business Apps to arrive with Symbian Belle

Hey Folks,

Wasn’t willing to write this post but ended up in writing it.

Got to know this from MyNokiaBlog that Nokia is going to introduce some Microsoft’s Business Productivity Apps to its new Symbian Belle handsets (Nokia 701, Nokia 700 & Nokia 600).

The following are the apps which are gonna arrive in to Symbian Belle:-

1). Microsoft Lync 2010 Mobile- For cost efficient IM presence, audio and web meetings on-the-go.

2). Microsoft PowerPoint Broadcast- Quick broadcast of presentations directly from PC to Mobile.

3). Microsoft OneNote- Rich note making with images. Sync with Microsoft SkyDrive.

4). Microsoft Document Connection- Single view to documents stored on mobile, including email attachements as well as documents on Microsoft SharePoint 2010 sites.

# Rumours are also there that there will be another update in early 2012 which will add further support to the Microsoft OneNote sync with SharePoint (in addition to SkyDrive).

==) This update of Microsoft Apps will also be available on the handsets which will upgrade themselves from Symbian Anna to Symbian Belle (N8, E7, C7, X7, E6, C6-01 & 500).

Here’s the link to Nokia’s Press release on Microsoft Apps for Symbian Belle

# According to this press release, “An update in the first half of 2012 will introduce Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint as native applications for the first time outside the Windows Platform”

Here’s the link to the AAS post on this. They have fully described it with images in their post.

Thanks!!
